This famous book was translated into English in 1964.  The language is a little old-fashioned now, but the message and the personality of the author come through quite clearly.  In France, Marguerite Maury had single-handedly re-established the reputation of aromatherapy, but in Britain only orthodox medicine was taken seriously and any alternative therapies were viewed with considerable skepticism.  Her book, as a result, did not reach its maximum audience nor did it receive the credit it deserved.

Now, however, with aromatherapy so well established and so familiar to many, the book can be reassessed as the valuable reference book it is.  A gold-mine of research, it contains information on a vast number of topics - health, beauty, diet, cooking, herbs, essential oils and treatments.
